摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing unit that eliminates a thickened character due to blur caused by color slurring at scanning so as to reproduce a character with the same thickness as that of a character of an original and reproduces characters with a uniform thickness. SOLUTION: A blur area and a thickened area due to blur more than the thickness of an original caused by color slurring are identified from a blur part of the surrounding of a black character due to color slurring at scanning and decreasing the density of the thickened part due to blur can eliminate the thickened part due to blur.
