PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital protective relay that is free from any trouble associated with drawing out a LAN cable at the front, excellent in operability and maintainability against cable failure, and capable of discrimination between remote connection and direct connection. SOLUTION: The digital protective relay is provided in a box body (1 and 2) with a communication unit, and its setting and settling for discriminating any accident in a power system or the like through entry of the quantities of electricity of the power system or the like is remotely performed by an operating means connected with a general-purpose LAN. A trunk cable 3 bent in U shape is connected to the front face of the box body (1 and 2) so that the cable can be freely inserted and withdrawn. The protective relay is so constituted that, when one end of the trunk cable 3 is withdrawn from the box body, the withdrawn end can be cable-connected direct to the operating means and in this state, the general-purpose LAN is isolated. |
