PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for planographic printing which is directly attached to a printing machine after exposure to start printing, has good developability on the machine and high printing resistance and is excellent in aging stability. SOLUTION: The original plate for planographic printing has a heat sensitive layer containing microcapsules containing a compound having a thermo-reactive functional group on a hydrophilic base. A compound which thermo-reacts with the above compound is a precursor compound having a protected reactive functional group and exhibiting reactivity under heat and the precursor compound is contained in the heat sensitive layer or a layer adjacent to the heat sensitive layer.
