<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overturning preventing device for an upright piano which is made detachable from the upright piano, while maintaining the appearance and merchandise characteristic of the upright piano, facilitates an operator to easily carry out the work to change the installation position of the upright piano and is applicable to the upright pianos of different sizes as well. SOLUTION: The overturning preventive device 1A is mounted freely detachably to the upright piano 10 by expanding and contracting expansion and contraction mechanisms 3 of the lower ends of rods 2a and bringing upper and lower cushions 4 and 3d respectively into abutment on a girder 12 and sill 13 of the upright piano 10. Supports 2b which are integral with the rods 2a are brought into abutment on a floor surface 15 to support the upright piano 10, by expanding and contracting the expansion and contraction mechanisms 3.</p> |
