PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is difficult to miniaturize what is called a short arm type shutter. SOLUTION: This shutter is provided with a base plate 1 having a shutter aperture 1a, a light shielding blade 2 traveling on the shutter aperture, 1st and 2nd arm members 6 and 7 whose base end is turnably attached to either side part of both side parts of the shutter aperture on the base plate and whose leading end is coupled with either side on the light shielding blade so as to constitute a parallel link, and a driving member 20 engaging and actuating the 1st arm member and driving the light shielding blade in terms of parallel link. The end 2b on either side on the light shielding blade gets into a part where the engaging part 20a of the driving member with the arm member, which moves with the actuation of the driving member, is not positioned out of the movable area of the engaging part 20a before the start of the traveling or in the traveling completing state of the light shielding blade.
