PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of difficulties in making an apparatus highly sensitive on account of low average efficiency of ion trapping if ion induction is performed regularly, because efficiency of ions trapped are varied by timings in which ions are induced in a quadrupole ion trap, and the efficiency is dependent on a phase of a high-frequency voltage applied to the quadrupole ion trap, and the trapping efficiency is also dependent on kinetic energy of entering ions. SOLUTION: The mass spectroscope comprises an ion transport part, to which a pulse voltage is applied, and a quadrupole ion trap.
