PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a post-processing device connected to an image forming device where it is unnecessary to always form a looseness of continuous paper in the midst of printing operational through the same image forming device and the same post-processing device as the conventional devices are used. SOLUTION: This method is for controlling the post-processing device by the image forming device to which the post-processing device for performing processing to the already printed continuous paper is connected, and has a stage to transport the continuous paper and start an image forming operation by an electrophotographic system to the continuous paper by providing a transfer part and a fixing part, a state to start the operation of the post-processing device for performing the post-processing and transport of the continuous paper, a stage to stop the operation of the post-processing device when or before transfer to the continuous paper is stopped in the transfer part, a stage to transport the continuous paper where transfer has been finished by the transfer part to the fixing part, and a stage to transport the continuous paper where fixing has been finished by a fixing device to the transfer part. |
