PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an advertisement effect to viewers, to make a charge discount possible in the case of providing the advertisement to viewers and to effectively utilize an advertisement meeting the tastes of the viewers. SOLUTION: In this digital broadcast advertisement providing system, the multiplexing means 16 of a transmitting side device 1 multiplexes information data 13 including program information and advertisement information 14 together with moving picture/sound data and advertisement data, the resultant signal is transmitted from a transmitting means 2, the separating means 21 of a receiving side device 5 separates the signal received by a receiving means 4, and the program information and advertisement information 26 are extracted. A charge discount rate corresponding to the advertisement data is included as the advertisement information 14 to the means 16, and a charge amount discounted from the viewing charge data of program information 27 extracted by the means 21 according to the charge discount rate extracted from the information 26 is also outputted as charging information. |
