PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow controlling of mutual units and freely setting of unique future and function expanding by utilizing a redundancy, a discontinuity, missing parts or a dead period of communicating of a digital signal, which are the no using period in a conventional standard, and by multiplexing an unique information or a command specified peculiarly in the period to transmit and receive them through a conventional fast digital interface or a radio and a cable transmission interface. SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver has a digital interface connecting mutually to external units, and has functions detecting the redundancy, the discontinuity, the missing parts or the dead period of communicating of input- output digital signal, at the timing to point the period, controlling its own units appropriately by multiplexing to the detected part based on the configuration, the command and the attendant information specified peculiarly or by decoding the multiplexed signal so as to interpret the command. |
