PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame synchronization detector that earlier locks a frame in the case of an asynchronous state and can maintain stable frame synchronization in a synchronous state. SOLUTION: The frame synchronization detector detects a frame synchronizing signal from a received digital modulation wave including a synchronizing signal pattern of a frame synchronizing signal subjected to biphase modulation, detects the synchronizing signal due to a change in the synchronizing signal pattern when a recovered carrier is asynchronous and detects the frame synchronizing signal depending on the synchronizing signal pattern in a synchronous state.
