PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate reading of digital information. SOLUTION: In this reading method to read the digital information from a digital information carrier in which the digital information to be recorded as a two-dimensional pattern consisting of optically recognizable marks by virtually setting matrix-like squares corresponding to bits on a plane-like recording surface and imparting the marks to each square, by arranging a control pattern on a specified corner part of the recording surface, searching for the control pattern, judging a position of the control pattern as the specified corner part and next reading an information pattern when recording information is read. |
