PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery with a high safety at overcharge even when not having a current breaking valve. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous secondary battery using a metallic oxide based active material for a positive electrode while a carbonaceous material or a material possible to insert Li for a negative electrode is constituted by adding either or both of benzene bonded with more than three aromatic compounds (heterocyclics are also possible) or aromatic heterocyclic compounds bonded with more than three aromatic compounds (heterocyclics are also possible)in the positive electrode or electrolyte. Preferable as the benzene bonded with more than three aromatic compounds (heterocyclic are also possible) is e.g. 1,3,5-triphenyl benzene, while as the aromatic heterocyclic compounds bonded with more than three aromatic compounds (heterocyclics are also possible) is e.g. 2,4,6-tris(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine. |
