AUTOMATIC STOP CONTROL METHOD OF TAIL END OF STRIP OF HOT COILER

PURPOSE: An automatic stop control method of the tail end of strip of a hot coiler is provided to automatically adjust speed of the strip and stop the strip at a target position by tracking position of the tail end of the strip so as to coil the strip in an accurate outer diameter shape. CONSTITUTION: The automatic stop control method of the tail end of strip of a hot coiler comprises the steps of setting deceleration point using operation values due to reduced speed of the tail end of the strip, deceleration ratio and speed of the tail end of the strip by automatically tracking position of the tail end of the strip when the tail end of the strip passes through a final finish rolling stand(210); obtaining the outer diameter of the coil due to actual results of coil thickness at a wrapper roll using measured values of outer diameter of mandrel and coil thickness of the wrapper roll(220); adopting calculation method of coil outer diameter by the actual results of coil thickness of the wrapper roll if the comparison results are within the error setting limit by comparing outer diameter values of the coil by coil thickness calculation of the wrapper roll with a conventional rotation number method of mandrel coiling(230); calculating moving distance of the tail end of the strip to a target stop position using the actual results of the coil outer diameter at the wrapper roll at a timing that is turned off when an HMD sensor is on(240); adjusting mandrel speed to the target stop position where two values are corresponded with each other using deceleration patterns by comparing the moving distance with distance values due to pulse counter values of a mandrel position sensor(250); and stopping the tail end of the strip so that the moving distance values and distance values by counter values of the mandrel position sensor are within the error zero range of the tail end stop position(260).
