PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily obtain proper correcting current for correcting the inclination of a picture due to the geomagnetism in a picture display device using a cathode ray tube. SOLUTION: The picture display device using the cathode ray tube 10 displays correction references 19a and 19b on the screen 10a of this cathode ray tube 10 in the case of correcting the inclination of the picture due to the geomagnetism.
