<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed-type lead-acid storage battery, that is used for a UPS, an emergency power-source for communication or the like, and that does not generate cracks in the heat-welded part between a storage battery casing and a cover due to the influence of a guide rib arranged on the cover, even in case where the area of the longer side of the storage battery casing is 1400 cm2 or more and the thickness is within 5 mm. SOLUTION: A storage battery casing 10 and a cover 20 are tentatively insertion- coupled with each other along a guide rib 22 arranged on the cover 20 as a protrusion performing a function of insertion-coupling positioning. Then, while retaining the relative horizontal positions of the cover 20 and the storage battery casing 10, the cover 20 and the storage battery casing 10 are separated in the upward and downward directions. A heat plate is arranged in the space between the cover and the storage battery casing, and after that the cover 20 and the storage battery casing 10 are brought into contact with the heat plate, the cover 20 and the storage battery easing 10 are adhered closely and heat-welded. Furthermore, the lower end of the guide rib 22 is thermo-deformed upward of the contact face 23 between the cover 20 and the storage battery casing 10.</p> |
