PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degaussing device where a degausing coil can be easily and correctly positioned and fixed to the outer periphery of the funnel part of a cathode ray tube. SOLUTION: In the degaussing device of the cathode ray tube, in the case of fixing the degaussing coil consisting of first and second annular coils to the outer periphery of the funnel part of the cathode ray tube, the first and second coils are connected at a prescribed intervals, plural tape members are fixed to the first and second coils so as to combine the respective opposing edges of the first and second coils and the degaussing coil to which the tape members are fixed are fixed to the clamp of the cathode ray tube.
