PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video server device capable of flexibly performing a band allocation to an asynchronous system by allocating a band to be allocated to the asynchronous system in <=1 unit and also managing a band even when a plurality of video server devices share a disk. SOLUTION: When a band managing means 208 receives a transfer request for AV data from a control terminal 117 or a computer terminal 118, the means 208 allocates a necessary transfer band when space exists in the transfer band of a plurality of video data disks 109 and rejects the transfer request when the space does not exist. In the case of the transfer request from the control terminal 117 when the space does not exist, if there is a band that has already allocated to the computer terminal 118, a band necessary to the transfer request of the terminal 117 is allocated in the band, and the residual band is allocated to the computer terminal 118 to which the band has been already allocated. |
