PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a planographic printing plate in which a used leaching liquid is easily treated. SOLUTION: The planographic printing plate is produced by successively carrying out a step for bringing a planographic printing original plate with a planographic printing material layer comprising hydrophilic fine particles each having a crosslinkable surface on a hydrophobic base into an imagewise crosslinking reaction to chemically bond hydrophilic fine particles to one another and a step for removing unbonded hydrophilic fine particles to form a hydrophobic region comprising the disclosed surface of the base and a hydrophilic region comprising the chemically bonded hydrophilic fine particles in this order.
