<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book lending system, with which the lending procedure of books can be performed anytime and books can be received in a closest public institution as well. SOLUTION: A user accesses a book lending home page opened on the Internet 100 by a book managing center through his/her own user terminal 10. In response to this access, a book managing center terminal 20 transmits information on book stock of a library and public institution information to the user terminal 10. On the basis of the instruction of the user, the book managing center instructs the delivery of books reserved by the user to the public institution to the library. The instructed library delivers the books to the public institution and the public institution lends the delivered books to the user. In the case of lending in the public institution, it is identified whether the user is a person, who performs the reservation, or not and when the user is that person, the books are lent. As a result, the relevant books can be lent to the user in the public institution and the stored books can be placed more closely to users.</p> |
