PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite digital distribution system which can distribute high-capacity digital data at high speed and stably. SOLUTION: The satellite digital distribution system is provided with a database center 1 to accumulate various kinds of digital data, a central control device 2 to control the distribution of the digital data through a satellite communication channel, a satellite repeater 3, a plurality of receiving terminal devices 4 to receive the digital data transmitted through the satellite communication channel, and an access center 5 to perform the transmission and reception of control information between the central control device 2 and the receiving terminal device 4 through the ground-based line. It is not necessary to accumulate the digital data to the receiving terminal device 4 because various digital data accumulated in the database center 1 are distributed to each receiving terminal device 4 through the satellite communication channel. Besides, a notification or the like can be performed reliably and quickly when a receiving error happens because a ground-based line is used for a transmitting confirmation or the like between the central control device 2 and the receiving terminal device 4.
