PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for performing real-time drift correction of a local oscillator in radio equipment, such as a cordless telephone, and/or performing frequency tracking of a software base of the local oscillator. SOLUTION: When a required security word is received, a remote hand set judges whether the required security word is coincident with the security word of the remote hand set. The remote hand set performs the software frequency adjustment of the local oscillator. The remote hand set enters into a timing recovery condition once for every frame, and the present condition of the frame is compared with the past condition. The frequency adjustment is made when an accumulated timing slip is large than a specified threshold. The remote hand set adjusts the local oscillator succeedingly so that the frequency matching can be performed for example, within 1 ppm. |
