CUTTING OF SHIELDING WIRE BRAID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a braid positively. SOLUTION: An inner insulating material at the end of a shielding wire of which outer insulation is stripped is inserted in a pipe 14. Three round blades 16 having a rotating shaft parallel to the central axis of the pipe 14 are disposed around the central axis of the pipe 14 on equiangular positions at 120 degrees intervals, and rotated (revolved) around the central axis of the pipe 14 to move toward the pipe 14 along a radial direction. The braid S3 covering over the periphery of the pipe 14 is pressed and cut by the periphery of the pipe 14 and the round blades 16. The braid S3 is pressed against the periphery of the pipe 14 having large rigidity by the round blade 16 for cutting, so that the inner insulating material is not damaged, cutting force is transmitted positively, and the action is applied over the whole circumference of the electric wire W by the revolution of the round blades 16. It is thus possible to minimize the generation of an uncut part.
