<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data retrieval method, an information providing system and a recording medium by which information on a celebrity can be retrieved easily. SOLUTION: Information on a celebrity and a group, to which that celebrity belongs, is previously stored in a database 6, while being related with data on the voiceprint of that person. Sound data from a personal computer(PC) 1 are received by a server 5, the voices of at least one person are separated from the sound data by an audio signal processor 7, and voiceprints are respectively decided from these voices by a voiceprint discriminating device 8. When all the celebrities of the voiceprints belong to the same group, in the server 5, information on that group is extracted, and when all the celebrities do not belong to the same group, all information on the celebrity having a selected voiceprint and a group, to which that celebrity belongs, is extracted and the extracted information is transmitted to the PC 1.</p> |
