DATA IMBEDDING DEVICE, DATA IMBEDDING METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data imbedding device that imbeds a huge amount of data to a binary image. SOLUTION: The data imbedding device selects a plurality of rectangular ranges (cells) for a block on the basis of a density pattern method for imbedding an electronic watermark to a binary image and imbeds data in the unit of blocks so as to imbed many more data to the binary image. First a block place number calculation section calculates an imbed available information quantity resulting from summing a plurality of (n) of cells included in each block to which the data are imbedded, a pattern number calculation section extracts imbedded data by the imbed available data and calculates n-sets of numerals unifiedly denoting the numeral of the data. Then a pattern setting section imbeds data to the binary image by replacing an arrangement pattern of '1' corresponding to n-sets of the numerals calculated as above with a pattern of each cell of the imbedded data.
