An electrode unit capable of printing images with an excellent quality and a printing device provided with this electrode unit. Opening rows (L1, L2) formed by disposing openings (12) in a preset direction of a base material consisting of a resin film or a resin sheet are provided, non-image forming sections (15, 15) not used for forming images are defined along a length at least 50 times, preferably at least 200 times, the thickness of the base material extending from the opposite ends of the base material in the opening rows (L1, L2) lengthwise direction, and an image forming section (16) is formed in the remaining portion. Openings (11) and control electrodes (12) surrounding the openings (11) are used to control the transfer of toner particles to form images.
