FINE GLASS PARTICLE CONTAINING EMBEDDED OXIDE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

Fine glass particles which each contains, embedded therein, two or more fine particles of two or more members selected among oxides, double oxides, salts of oxoacids, and double oxides and double salts of these. The fine particles are easily produced by mixing a raw glass powder with a raw oxide powder comprising an unvitrified oxide, double oxide, salt of an oxoacid, or a double oxide or double salt of these, feeding the resultant raw mixture to a hot plasma to convert it to a gaseous mixture, and then rapidly cooling the gaseous mixture. Thus, highly dispersed fine oxide particles can be easily obtained. A small amount of two or more kinds of fine oxide particles can be evenly mixed with a base material without being unevenly distributed.
