PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for supporting electronic commerce are provided to effectively manage the electronic commerce by linking a plurality of small and medium manufacturing companies with a plurality of small and medium sales centers by a communication network. CONSTITUTION: A commodity information storage device(220) stores commodity information. A member information storage device(230) stores information of a manufacturing company, a store, and a delivery company, which are registered as members. A commodity information obtaining device(240) obtains commodity information from the manufacturing company and stores it in the commodity information storage device(220). A commercial transaction processor(250) controls a selling order when a selling order of a desired commodity is requested. An order processor(260) transmits the commodity information to a corresponding manufacturing company and delivery company. A settlement processor(270) manages a settlement process. A commercial transaction controller(210) controls operations of the devices and connections of the devices.
