POLY(VINYLIDENE FLUORIDE) BASED BLACK MONOFILAMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A black monofilament which comprises a resin composition comprising a vinylidene fluoride polymer resin and, dispersed therein, carbon black particles and has a knot strength represented by the following formula (1): value of knot strength [GPa] >/= {35/(diameter of filament[ mu m])}<1/3> (1) ; and method for producing the black monofilament. The black monofilament retains excellent characteristics inherent in a vinylidene fluoride polymer resin monofilament, is colored in black so as to be invisible in a dark place, is excellent in abrasion resistance and thus is suitable for a fishing line, especially for use in catching a fish living at depth.
