摘要 <p>A phosphor represented by the general formula (Gd1-y-zCeyScz)3Al5-dGadO12 (wherein y is a number in the range of 0.0005 </= y </= 0.05; z is a number in the range of 0 < z </= 0.03; and d is a number in the range of 0<d<5) which is obtained by adding scandium (Sc) to a phosphor represented by the general formula (Gd1-yCey)3Al5-dGadO12 (wherein y is a number in the range of 0.0005 </= y </= 0.02; and d is a number in the range of 0 < d < 5). The phosphor has a high luminescence efficiency and is extremely reduced in afterglow. A radiation detector employing this phosphor as a ceramic scintillator can have a high luminescence output. This radiation detector is suitable for use as a radiation detector for X-ray CT apparatuses because it is reduced in afterglow and has a high luminescence output.</p>
