PURPOSE: A magnetic field generator of an image display device is provided to prevent an electron beam caused by a magnetization of a shadow mask of a flat CDT from spreading by increasing an intensity of a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION: A switch section(20) operates by an alternating current voltage output from the power supply(10). A thermistor(30) converts an alternating current voltage from the switch section(20) into a predetermined current. The first magnetic field generating section(41) generates a magnetic field having a predetermined intensity according to the current from the thermistor(30). The second magnetic field generating section(42) is installed at a predetermined area of the first magnetic field generating section(41) and generates a magnetic field having a predetermined intensity.
