PURPOSE: An air conditioner of type mounted to vehicle roof is provided, in which leakage prevention unit is installed at the lower end of the evaporator unit, to thereby allow the damper for sucking outdoor air to operate in a smooth manner. CONSTITUTION: A pair of dampers(3,4) for sucking outdoor air for evaporation are installed in front of an evaporator unit(1) which has evaporator cores(2). Each of dampers has a filter, and the evaporator unit has ventilation holes(6) formed at the portion where dampers are installed. The evaporator unit is mounted to the vehicle roof, and has leakage prevention members(7,701) arranged beneath the evaporator. Each of leakage prevention members has an upper end fixed to the evaporator unit and a lower end exposed outward from the evaporator unit or positioned within the evaporator so as to thereby seal the gap between the evaporator unit and vehicle roof.
