PURPOSE: A power transmission system for a trailer is provided to drive a working element speedily by a PTO(Power Take Off) additionally mounted to a transmission and simultaneously move a vehicle slowly, thereby carrying out a predetermined work smoothly. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission system for a trailer includes a P.T.O(Power Take Off;6) mounted to a transmission(3), a working element driving source(8) mounted to an output shaft(7) of the P.T.O, and a propulsive shaft driving element(9) to be driven by the working element driving source when the transmission is in the neutral stage, wherein the propulsive shaft driving element is mounted with a ring gear(10) on a propulsive shaft(4), the vehicle body is mounted with an actuator(11) for a pneumatic or hydraulic motor, the actuator is formed with a spline(12) on a shaft thereof to be fitted with a sleeve(13), the sleeve is mounted with a pinion(14) at a front end and supports an end of a lever(15) by a pin(16), and a plunger(18) connected with the other end of the lever and mounted with a spring(19) to move back and forth by a solenoid coil(17).
