<p>A method and apparatus or system for organizing threads (18) for cross-stitching. The system includes a method wherein a plurality of sheets (16) having a predetermined thickness and a specific absorption characteristic are processed to create a plurality of I-shaped elements (14) as perforated or removable threaded retainers (15). Each retainer (15) is manufactured with indicia to indicate a particular color scheme. This indicia can be produced in a number of different foreign languages for use by a broad spectrum of cross-stitching enthusiasts. The method includes the general steps of arranging a predetermined number of threads (18) according to at least one predetermined color scheme and/or with a comparable color scheme for cross-stitching. The threads (18) are disposed on a plurality of I-shaped (14) elements which are housed in a multi-level storage compartment (10).</p> |
