PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production process of bound-water-containing clay used for removal of powdery iron, which is capable of simply removing e.g. powdery iron sticking on or into the coating surface of a car and also persistently sticking dirt or water scale. SOLUTION: This production process of bound-water-containing clay for removing powdery iron which has unrestricted various shapes and sticks on a coating surface 2 or into the coating surface 2 in unrestricted various directions, comprises: mixing a number of various irregular-shaped cubic bodies 16 and a number of various irregular-shaped plane bodies 20 into clay 5; and further mixing mica 21 and aqueous silicone 7 into the resulting mixture to form an emulsion-like material easily soluble in water; wherein the emulsionlike material consists of a mixture containing the irregular-shaped cubic bodies 16, irregular-shaped plane bodies 20 and mica 21 as irregular-shaped components, so that when the emulsion-like material is moved in unrestricted various directions, e.g. upwardly, downwardly, obliquely or from side to side, as indicated by the arrows 11, the above irregular-shaped components 16, 20 and 21 are bound to powdery iron 4 and the powdery iron 4 caught by the irregular- shaped components 16, 20 and 21, can be removed from the coating surface.
