PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light source device having a fine array pitch in light emitting parts enabling high-density optical scanning in a multi-beam scanning mode. SOLUTION: The light source device used for a multi-beam scanner has a light source part having a plurality of light emitting parts 11, 12 in prescribed arrangement on the almost same plane 10, and a reduction optical system 30 which forms images 41, 42 placed on a plurality of light emitting parts 11, 12 on a nearly flat surface by a desired reduction factor. The image of each light emitting part formed by a reduction optical system 30 is used as a light source for multi-beams in the multi-beam scanner.
