<p>The local radiotelephone network (3) comprises a base station (1) and at least one mobile set (2) associated with it. The base station includes a device for establishing connection, via an external telephone network (30), with a data network (40), e.g. Internet, and a device for electronic messaging. A man-machine interface is provided at the mobile handset. The base station (1) further comprises a device for logging messages in a mailbox (42) of the data network and a device for retransmission, towards the mobile handset, of logged messages. The man-machine interface alerts the user about the received messages using a display with a scrolling function.</p> |
