PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a child seat detecting device capable of detecting its fitting state even for a child seat adopting a hook type or an ISOFIX type. SOLUTION: The child seat detecting device 10 comprises sliders 90, 92 capable of sliding in a direction crossing a fitting direction of a child seat, which is pushed and opened by a frame 60 and a hook body for sliding in the crossing direction by a distance according to these dimensions when the frame 60 and the hook body are connected to a lock bar 38. Accordingly sliding amounts of the sliders 90, 92 depend only on the width dimensions basically, and then fitting of the child can be assuredly detected by detecting slides of the sliders 90, 92 regardless of moving amounts in fitting direction of the frame 60 and the hook body at the time of fitting.
