摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-performance felt epochal in aspects of functions and practical uses using high-strength and high-modulus of elasticity fibers having a high level of resistance to flex fatigue or abrasion resistance. SOLUTION: This high-performance felt is obtained by using >=50% of cut high-strength polyethylene fibers which are molecularly oriented fibers having >=5 intrinsic viscosity [η] and comprising a recurring unit thereof substantially consisting of ethylene and have >=22 cN/dtex average strength of the fibers and one or more endothermic peaks during melting determined with a differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) present at 140-148 deg.C, at least one or more peaks at >=148 deg.C and >=150,000 times of breakage frequency of the fibers in abrasion tests measured according to the JIS A method (JIS L 1095) and <=13 dTex filament fineness so as to provide L>=d×dt/3.7 and processing the resultant felt so as to afford >=0.14 apparent density.
