PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a titanium sheet having excellent press formability. SOLUTION: A hot rolled stock of titanium, which has a composition containing, by mass, <=0.08% Fe, <=0.05$% Ni and <=0.05% Cr and satisfying inequality 2×Fe(%)+Ni(%)+Cr(%)>=0.04 (wherein, Fe(%), Ni(%) and Cr(%) mean the respective contents of the elements in mass %), is annealed under prescribed conditions, subjected to pickling treatment using an aqueous solution of nitric-fluoric mixed acid to undergo removal of the surface layer part by dissolution, and cold rolled and the resultant sheet is finish annealed at 600-700 deg.C in an argon gas atmosphere.
