PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cutting and dividing a viscous material which enables fine cut and divide, is excellent in durability and enables efficient work in order to make it easy to handle the viscous material which comprises cake formed by treating sludge with a thickener and a filter press or cake previously mixed with a solidification material and an extender as a principal ingredient when solidifying and reutilizing sludge arising after washing and separating aggregate in a plant for producing aggregate. SOLUTION: This apparatus has a structure equipped with the following members: a guiding mechanism 3 for guiding the outside surface of the surrounding wall 2a of a cylindrical rotor 2 rotatably erected on a base plate 1; a rotating mechanism for rotating the rotor 2 on its central axis; a viscous material- cutting and dividing device 6 where a cutting and dividing blade 6a with its edge made of a sintered carbide alloy fixed on the point is faced from the outlet 5 set in position in the base plate 1 into the rotor 2; and a blade cover 7 for covering the blade 6a in which the edge 7a confronts the viscous material coming to move accompanied by the rotation of the rotor 2 between the rotor and one side edge of the outlet 5 to open an insertion aperture 7b.
