PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for driving a pipe anchor into the ground capable of preventing a point from coming out and biting into a body, and preventing an anchor from being raised during recovery of the device, while enabling damaged parts to be replaced. SOLUTION: An internal thread is provided at the end of a pipe-shaped body having a built in piston hammer, and the point having a tapered part in its front end area and having in its rear end rear a recessed shank to be struck with a piston hammer is connected to the body by threadable engagement with the internal thread. The point is formed with a gently tapered part located between the shank and the former tapered part and making contact with a ring on the inner surface of the pipe anchor and with the end of the former tapered part located ahead of the ring.
