Apparatus for testing cable structures using a programmable control computer

The test apparatus uses a programmable control computer (110), a test deck and test modules (18). The test modules are connectable to the plug connectors of the cable structures by counter connectors. They are arranged on the test deck and are connected to the control computer and a pneumatic line. The control computer is connected via a data bus to intelligent module units and the pneumatic supply line is connected via a pneumatic bus to the intelligent module units. These module units carry out the electric and pneumatic control of the respective test modules.
