Medicament containing red pepper constituents useful as a dermatological agent, especially for treatment of damaged skin

A medicament for the treatment of skin contains active substances which are constituents of red peppers Capsicum spec. . The medicament contains: (a) at least 0.01% of active substance(s) which are identical or at least nature-identical with the components of red peppers; and (b) usual carriers, adjuvants and/or additives. An Independent claim is also included for the use of red peppers for the treatment of wounds and inflamed skin areas.
