PURPOSE: An optical pickup actuator is provided to control five axises by forming coils and magnets for correcting multiple axes of an actuator around a frame. CONSTITUTION: An objective lens(201) is loaded on a lens holder(202). A focusing coil and a tracking coil are adhered around the lens holder(202). A plurality of wire spring(212) supports the lens holder(202). A couple of magnet(205,206,207) is formed at a yoke(204). The lens holder(202) is loaded on the yoke(204). A frame(209) supports the wire springs(212). The magnets(205,206,207) and coils(208,209,210) are used for controlling a tilt and performing translation. The yoke(204) and the frame(209) are combined by a flexible rod(213). The flexible rod(213) has elastic characteristics including bending, torsion, and extending or compressing. An electromotive force is generated from the focusing coil when the current is applied to the focusing coil. A lens holder assembly is driven to a focusing direction by the electromotive force. A movable portion is shifted to a tracking direction when the current is applied to the tracking coil.
