PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotating body for a polygon scanner with which both the higher accuracy of jitter characteristics and reduction of vibration can be realized, and to obtain a polygon scanner. SOLUTION: The rotating body 8 for a polygon scanner has a nearly cylindrical flange 13 in which a polygon mirror 17 is formed integrally, a nearly cylindrical rotating sleeve 12 fixed on the inner peripheral side of the flange 13, a rotor magnet 15 fixed on the lower side of the inner peripheral surface of the flange 13, a closing member 14 fixed on the upper side of the flange 13 to close the upper side opening part of the flange 13, and a magnetic bearing member 16 fixed in the central part of the closing member 14 and formed of a magnetic material. Mirror finishing is applied to a mirror surface 17a after assembling the flange 13, the rotor magnet 15, the rotating sleeve 12, the closing member 14 and the magnetic bearing member 16. Thereby, a polygon mirror 17 having the mirror surface 17a whose figure tolerance is corrected at the upper side of the outer peripheral surface can be obtained. |
