PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting type optical module nearly free from light returned by reflection due to the refractive index difference between an optical fiber-optical waveguide and a resin even under a temperature change. SOLUTION: The surface of a substrate between an optical fiber-optical waveguide and an optical element is hollowed, a light transmissive internal resin similar in refractive index to the optical fiber-optical waveguide in the whole temperature range and having fluidity is poured into the hollow without spilling, cured and covered with a flexible middle resin, and then the substrate, the middle resin and the optical fiber-optical waveguide are covered with a hard shell resin in such a way that an outer shape is imparted. The objective optical device with a triple resin structure is obtained. |
