PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink which may be easily and rapidly decolorized by heat, and an ink jet printer using this ink which is suitable for reusing recording paper. SOLUTION: The ink is prepared by dissolving or dispersing at least a coloring agent, a developer and a decolorizer in a solvent. The ink develops color at an ordinary temperature of <=40 deg.C through the formation of a chemical bond between the coloring agent and the developer and is decolorized at >=100 deg.C through the breakdown of the chemical bond and the formation of a chemical bond between the developer and the decolorizer. The ink jet printer uses this ink. A dual-purpose ink jet printer for recording and erasing is equipped with a heating system for erasing. |
