PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device improved so as to add a fall preventing function without increasing the dimensions thereof while using a paper feeding cassette provided with a cam projection for pushing up a sorting roller. SOLUTION: This image recording device 1 is provided with a cassette housing part K for inserting a paper feeding cassette housing a bundle of the recording paper, a sorting roller 3b provided in the most upstream side of a recording paper carrying route adjacent to the cassette housing part freely moved in the vertical direction, a sorting roller pushing cam projection part 45 provided at an intermediate part of the inserting direction, a paper feeding cassette 2 provided with a fall preventing projection part (an upward projecting part 33) provided in the depth of the inserting direction, and a stopper member 34 provided with an engagement part (a downward projecting part 37) engaged with the fall preventing projection part inside of the cassette housing container near the insertion port and rocked for displacement in the vertical direction. With this structure, since the stopper member is rockably provided in the device main body, the paper feeding cassette fitting/removing operation is not hindered by the stopper member.
