PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for opening/closing a sunroof driven by a cable and the like capable of safely protecting an inner cable in collision of a vehicle, simplifying a structure, and being easily restored. SOLUTION: In this device 10 for opening/closing the sunroof and the like, a slide panel is operated to be opened/closed by transmitting power by a control cable formed by inner wires 13a-c and outer tubes 15-18 from a driving mechanism 19 to the slide panel for opening/closing an opening part of a roof. An impact absorbing mechanism 30 comprising a compression spring is made to be laid in a mounting part of the outer tube 17 to be mounted to a guide rail 12 so as to absorb impact force applied to the slide panel in the collision of the vehicle.
