PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen impact given to an occupant without generating fracture in a sun-visor itself in an emergency such as a collision of an automobile. SOLUTION: This holding tool for the sun-visor for the automobile comprises a base B comprising a mounting part 1 mounted to a vehicular body side at an upper side and a slider S mounted to a lower side of the base B at an upper side so as to be slidable to a windshield G. The slider S is formed with a holding part 17 of the sun-visor 100. The slider S is formed with an engaging part 18 engaged to a part to be engaged 2 formed to the base B so as to stop sliding of the slider S toward the wind shield G side, and engaging force for engaging the engaging part 18 and the part to be engaged 2 is set so as to cancel engagement therebetween when acting impact exceeds force acting on the slider S in a direction to make the slider S slide with an operation of the sun-visor 100.
